After graduating Texas Tech University, it was time to celebrate in la bella Italia! I packed my bag- yes, I only had one for 2 whole weeks and I totally reccomend that, especially dragging it from plane to taxi to train to ferry and more. The six of us all started planning about 4 months before and we would sit on Pinterest and search awesome locations and must-sees and eventually crafted the perfect itinerary for our 14 days in Italy! We booked everything ourselves, which made us nervous and proud at the same time. We had a few reccomendations but mostly researched and budgeted it all on our own. We would alternate between hostels (which were really actually nice and not sketchy...except Milan, Milan was sketchy) and hotels to feel a little fancy and spoil ourselves some. After all, we did just finish our 4 years at college and earned awesome degrees and ALL had jobs lined up so we deserved it! ALSO, we just happened to leave on my birthday (needless to say, it was the best birthday yet). The planning is the most fun because you start to build anticipation for what it will be like and what you'll do. It was the absolute PERFECT experience.
