If you don't know, the "Sunday Scaries" is the anxiety that sets in after the weekend when you start to think about everything the week will bring. But sometimes, I actually cannot get ready for work fast enough because I'm THAT excited to get there. I am 100% aware this makes me a unique and rare individual, but it's so true and in the spirit of being thankful post-Thanksgiving, I feel super blessed and grateful. Despite the flaws and challenges (because believe me, they're there) work can bring, I just really love what I do and who I get to do it with. One of the most impactful messages I've ever heard actually came from the founder of our creative agency. In a speech at Cannes Lions in 2017, David Droga, founder of Droga5, talked about how "“wanting something—wanting a career, or wanting to make something—doesn’t really mean much. It’s about finding something you care about. Because caring is the only thing that really matters." This has always really resonated with me and while I was preparing to go back to work after some time off for the holiday, I pulled up his message again and thought I'd share. You can watch the full speech here, but my favorite quote is,

“Caring makes you want to work harder. People can’t pay you to care. People can’t teach you to care. But when you find something that you care about, you give it everything you’ve got. You never settle. And you are always pushing to learn and be better and support those around you. All I’ve tried to do in my career is care.”

So I hope that you all have a great week and are hopefully doing something you care about, with people you care about. Whether it's work or a relationship, everyone deserves to do something or be with someone that makes them happy and makes them feel cared about in return. And you should always believe that it's never an option to settle, always push yourself to learn more and keep on caring, because it matters.
